Join us in Bellagio in 2025, as Kathleen Lanzoni takes a group of watercolor painters on this trip to Lake Como in northern Italy. We will have 6 special days together; plein air painting the beautiful towns, the lake scenes and the surrounding scenery. You will receive personal painting instruction each day.
Whether you are a novice or experienced painter, this trip will be fun and an educational experience for all!
Widely considered one of the prettiest areas of Europe, the Italian Lakes area was once a playground for nobility and royals, visible in the many palaces dotting the lake shores. We will be staying in the beautiful town of Bellagio, often called “the Pearl of Lake Como”, situated by the foothills of the Swiss and Italian Alps.
This will be a fabulous time painting, making friends, and enjoying the scenery!

Using the exciting medium of watercolor, learn about painting colorful subject matter. The focus of the classes will be to enjoy learning the elements of painting and watercolor techniques using different subjects as our models. The class will work from provided photos to practice the techniques.
Class begins with a discussion and demonstration. Next, you can paint along with the demonstration or you can watch the demonstration and paint on your own schedule. Students may submit finished paintings that will be critiqued during the following live class. Artist’s will receive a video recording of each class. Let’s have fun with the magic of watercolors!

Let’s play with our paint and water and have fun! The subject matter in this creative two-day workshop is painting landscapes, using the amazing medium of watercolor. Together we will paint skies, mountains, and more elements to describe the landscape. We will work together, step by step, playing with our watercolor techniques to paint values, color and composition. Let’s enjoy the flow of the paint!
